SPOTLIGHT: Ailsa Craig Onions

You’ve got to try some of our Ailsa Craig onions, which are new to our farm this year.

These beautiful heirloom onions hail from Scotland originally and are named after Ailsa, a small round island off the coast of Scotland.

Introduced in 1887 by David Murray, a gardener for the Marquis of Ailsa, they are a sweet onion with a wonderful flavor, and are great sauteed, caramelized, roasted, grilled and raw.
