This year’s Corn & Tomato Festival will be held today (Saturday, August 21) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes tastings of many varieties of corn and tomatoes, entertainment and activities.

Our Corn and Tomato Festival is a perfect opportunity to visit our farm and taste the flavors of summer’s bounty.

There will be over 30 tomato varieties including heirlooms, hybrids and cherries – all grown at the farm and all available for purchase in the farm stand to take home for slicing, making a sauce, or canning and freezing for use in the months ahead. There will also be corn on the cob to taste and much more, including:

Details of the festival:

  • Cost for tastings: $8.50 per person. $4.50 children under 10
  • Over 30 varieties of Verrill Farm grown tomatoes, both heirloom & hybrid, sliced & ready to eat
  • Several varieties of Verrill Farm grown corn including bi-color, white, super sweet & sugar enhanced
  • Samples of corn & tomato dishes made in the farm stand kitchen

Additional food served a la carte

  • Hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages

Free entertainment

  • Live music by Monadnock Bluegrass

Activities (there is a small fee for these)

  • Hay rides
  • Giddy Up Pony rides
