Santa visits our farm stand this Saturday

Santa will be making his annual visit to our farm stand this Saturday, December 5, from 3 to 5 p.m.

There will be live holiday music by Ellen Schmidt and Ergo Canto, and we’ll have candy canes and apple cider.

Bring a camera and take a picture with Santa. This is a free event, reservations are not required.

You’ll want to sign up soon for our annual Gingerbread House Workshops, being held the next two weekends.

Sunday, Dec 6 @ 9:30, 11:30 & 1:30

Saturday, Dec 12 @ 9:30, 11:30 & 1:30


$35 fee includes:

  • assembled, undecorated gingerbread house on a 12″ card board
  • frosting (gingerbread and frosting made in the farm stand kitchen)
  • candy for trim
  • tips from the Farm Stand chefs

Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Adult comes at no additional charge. Please, only one adult per child. Reservations are required.

‘Tis The Season

Starting today (November 28), stop down to see our selection of fresh cut Balsam and Fraser firs, wreaths, swags, bunches of greens, seasonal plants and holiday bouquets.

Our hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.

Among the many things we give thanks for are loyal friends like you, who have helped make the past year a success for us.

Hot take out available on Wednesday

If you’re planning on coming by our farm stand on Wednesday, plan to grab a bite to eat when you’re here.

  • 8 a.m. to 11:30 – Verrill Farm breakfast sandwiches (Egg, bacon and cheese on an English muffin)
  • Noon to 2 p.m. – Verrill Farm famous Pulled Pork BBQ sandwiches
  • 4 to 6 p.m. - Verrill Farm chili, sure to warm you up

Thanksgiving order pickups

We’re hoping for a smooth pick up process for our Thanksgiving orders this year.

When you arrive at our farm stand, you’ll notice the pickup tent for turkeys to the right, in front of the entrance to our building.

You’ll want to pick up your turkey first, then head into our awning area, where you can pick up your dessert and side dish pre-orders.

You may continue your shopping in our store, then head to the check out area and complete your purchase.

Dessert deadline has passed

The deadline for placing your dessert order for Thanksgiving is noon today (Sat., Nov. 21).

We are still taking orders through the end of business today (Saturday) for Verrill Farm side dishes, and we have Stonewood Farm fresh turkeys available. Give us a call at 978-369-4494 to place your order.

Verrill Farm pies and desserts will be available in our stand, on a first-come, first-served basis on the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

You’ve got to come down and get yourself some of our fresh fish, available in our deli case.

Today’s selection includes:

  • Baked salmon with spinach and artichoke sauce
  • Nicoise salad with fresh tuna
  • Pan seared corvina with lemon beurre blanc sauce
  • Grilled swordfish with herb basil basalmic vinaigrette
  • Baked Asian bluefish with sesame seed and roasted peppers
